Political research is a unique and specialised discipline. It’s very different to most other types of research, yet it’s not something we are taught at University.
As a Parliamentary Assistant, Parliamentary Researcher, public affairs professional, communicator or campaigner – you need to undertake political research as part of your job every day. You need to be able to communicate your research clearly, succinctly and deliver it with maximum impact to achieve your aims.
By completing our course you’ll be able to better:
- Develop a research strategy matched to the outcome you seek to ensure your research time is used effectively
- Find the sources of political research, including rich quantitative data sources, to help you construct a strong, cohesive, evidence-based argument
- Write effective political research briefing notes and develop different strategies to communicate your messages including charts, graphs and images for use on social media
